Physicians, non-physician practitioners (NPPs), and other Medicare Part B suppliers must enroll in the Medicare program to be paid for covered services furnished to Medicare beneficiaries. To assist Fellows in navigating their contractual relationships with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), this section answers a number of questions surgeons may have about becoming a participating Medicare provider.
