International Chapter Opportunity Program

The International Chapter Opportunity Program enables the College’s international chapters to present original surgical education programs that include U.S./Canadian Fellows as faculty in their home countries. This program was established in 2015 through a generous donation from Pon Satitpunwaycha, MD, FACS, and includes a stipulation that the program include attendance and participation by residents and young surgeons.

The following chapters have presented programs through this opportunity:

The Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) Chapter and the Argentina Chapter were awarded support via the International Chapter Opportunity for 2019. The ANZ Chapter will present the College’s ASSET (Advanced Surgical Skills for Exposure in Trauma) program, and the Argentina Chapter will present a course entitled “Management of Digestive Tract Surgical Emergency Diseases: Challenges and Decision Making.”
