International Scholarships for Surgical Education
The ACS Division of Education and International Relations Committee are pleased to announce two international scholarships focused on surgical education. These awards provide young faculty members from countries other than the United States and Canada with the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational opportunities for faculty development and enhancement that will result in acquisition of new knowledge and skills in surgical education and training.

The John D. Corson Guest Scholarship
A single John Duncan Corson Guest Scholarship will be awarded each year, in the amount of up to $10,000, to provide an academic Vascular or Cardio-thoracic surgeon residing in The United Kingdom (UK) or The Republic of Ireland (ROI) with the opportunity to attend and participate fully in the educational activities of the ACS annual Clinical Congress and additionally to travel to academic medical institutions in the USA to share knowledge of best practices and current surgical research. The Scholarship will alternate each year between Vascular and Cardio-thoracic surgery specialties.

ACS/AAST International Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to surgeons specifically working in acute care surgery: trauma and emergency general surgery in countries other than the U.S. and Canada to improve the quality of acute care surgical services. Preference will be given to applicants from developing nations. The scholarship, in the amount of $5,000, provides the scholar with an opportunity to attend the annual meeting of the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma (AAST) and to visit one or two Level I Trauma Centers and/or the Trauma Quality Improvement Program (TQIP) headquarters at the American College of Surgeons in Chicago, IL, to learn about the standards for a trauma program/database and the importance of multidisciplinary Acute Care surgery care.

ACS/ASBrS International Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to surgeons specifically working in breast cancer surgery in countries other than the US and Canada to improve the quality of breast cancer surgical services. Preference will be given to applicants from developing nations. The scholarship, in the amount of $5,000, provides the scholar with an opportunity to attend the annual meeting of the American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBrS) and to visit the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) headquarters in Chicago, IL, to learn about the standards for a breast cancer program/database and the importance of multidisciplinary breast cancer care.
Applications due December 16.
International Guest Scholarships
The ACS offers International Guest Scholarships to young surgeons from countries other than the United States or Canada who have demonstrated strong interests in teaching and research. The scholarships provide the Scholars with an opportunity to visit clinical, teaching, and research activities in North America and to attend and participate fully in the educational opportunities and activities of the ACS Clinical Congress.

Becas Para Cirujanos Internacionales
El Colegio Americano de Cirujanos ofrece anualmente varias becas designadas "International Guest Scholarships" a cirujanos jóvenes competentes originarios de cualquier país del mundo excepto de los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica o de Canadá, y que puedan documentar su dedicación a actividades de enseñanza y de investigación.
La solicitud y los documentos deberán recibirse antes del 1 de Julio para que puedan ser considerarse por el Comité de Selección.
Bourse Internationale D’étude
L’American College of Surgeons (ACS) offre une bourse internationale d’étude (International Guest Scholarship) à de jeunes chirurgiens, étrangers aux USA et Canada, ayant prouvé leur intérêt dans l’enseignement et la recherche.
Le dossier complet de candidature, ainsi que toutes les pièces jointes doit être reçu au bureau International Liaison Section avant le 1 juillet, pour que la candidature soit prise en compte.
Community Surgeons Travel Awards
The ACS International Relations Committee is pleased to announce travel awards for surgeons aged 30 to 50. These awards provide international surgeons with the opportunity to attend and participate fully in the educational activities of the ACS annual Clinical Congress.

International ACS NSQIP Scholarships
The American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (ACS NSQIP
®) and the International Relations Committee offer International ACS NSQIP Scholarships for two surgeons from countries other than the United States or Canada who demonstrate strong interests in surgical quality improvement.
