Education for Residents

Take advantage of all the Clinical Congress has to offer, including several sessions designed specifically for you—RAS Leadership Session, RAS Symposium, Surgical Jeopardy, and more. We have also developed other key education and training resources specifically for residents, including: SRGS for ResidentsACS/APDS Surgical Skills CurriculumTransition to Practice Program, ACS Residents as Teachers and Leaders, and ACS Fundamentals of Surgery Curriculum. Associate Fellows

As an Associate Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), you receive automatic enrollment in the Resident and Associate Society of the ACS (RAS-ACS), free subscriptions to all ACS periodicals and newsletters, access to career connection, and use of the Surgeon-Specific Registry to track your surgical cases and outcomes. Resident and Associate Society

The RAS-ACS serves to introduce you to College programs and leadership. RAS-ACS provides you with an avenue for participation in ACS affairs, fosters development and use of your leadership skills in organized surgery, and provides opportunities for your opinions and concerns as young surgeons and trainees to be heard by College leadership. Get involved by joining a committee, submitting essays for the Bulletin, and networking with role models in the surgical field.
